The Office of Academic Technologies (OAT) federates the activities of eleven units working together to provide academic technology services that support the goals of Educate • Connect • Elevate: Illinois State, to enhance teaching, learning, research and creative activity, service outreach, and to help attract and retain great students, faculty, and staff.
Two of the eleven units report directly to the Associate Vice President for Academic Technologies in the Office of the Provost; Learning Spaces & Audio/Visual Technologies (LSAVT) and TechZone & Student Technologies (TZ) . The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT) co-reports to this AVP and the Assistant VP for Academic Administration. The seven directors in the College Technology Support Team report to the deans of their respective colleges. The Associate Registrar leads IT staff support in Enrollment Management and Academic Services.
The strategic goals of the units in the Office of Academic Technologies are informed by and designed to support Illinois State University’s strategic plan Educate • Connect • Elevate: Illinois State – 2018-2023. Each of the four core directions of the OAT Strategic Goals can be tied to the directions, objectives, and actions found therein.
